The 'Katniss' Look for Dolls

Is your doll a fan of the Hunger Games? Or maybe's she's looking for that 'Katniss' look?

Here's how your American Girl doll can get the 'Katniss' look.

First off, you want the jeans and the top. There is an amazingly cheap set of a plain white tee and flare jeans for dolls around $7 at Michaels. You can pin the bottoms of the jeans to make them have a skinny cut, like in the picture below.

Liberty Jane Patterns offers a skinny jean pattern for a low cost, and a free basic shirt pattern, so you can also sew one.

For a thick, hunting-style jacket, you can use any snow jacket purchased from American Girl (this one would work as a charm) or sew a jacket using this Liberty Jane pattern for cheap. I am using the jacket from AG's Frosty Fun set.

For shoes, try any boots, preferably combat boots, such as Addy's Lace-Up Boots. Snow boots like these also work.

The 'Katniss' look is great for dolls who want a fresh, new look that works for everybody. I hope you enjoyed! ^.^
